1. Introduction

loCal ("we", "us", or "our") operates the loCal website and mobile applications (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using loCal you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address, username, display name, and (for business accounts) your business name. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic profile information from those providers.

Content you post. Photos, captions, prices, and other content you upload to the Service.

Camera and photo library. If you grant permission, we access your camera or photo library only to let you attach images to posts. Photos are not uploaded unless you choose to share them.

Location. If you grant permission, we use your approximate location to show shops and creators near you. We do not store precise location history.

Usage and device data. Log data such as IP address, device type, OS version, browser, and pages visited. We use this for security, debugging, and analytics.

Payments. Subscription billing for Business accounts is processed by Stripe. We do not store card numbers.

3. How we use information

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• Show you relevant local content and creators.
• Communicate with you about your account, updates, and support requests.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Service providers (hosting, authentication, payments, analytics) under contract.
• Other users — content you publish is visible to them by design.
• Authorities, when required by law or to protect rights and safety.

5. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated content at any time by emailing us at the address below.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.

7. Children

loCal is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data, but no system is perfectly secure. Please use a strong, unique password.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in-app or via email. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
