Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using loCal (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country) to use loCal. By using the Service you confirm you meet that requirement.

3. Your account

You're responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant loCal a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content as necessary to operate and promote the Service. You're responsible for ensuring you have the rights to anything you post.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Post illegal, harmful, hateful, harassing, or sexually explicit content.
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your business.
• Spam, scrape, scam, or otherwise abuse the Service.
• Interfere with security, integrity, or normal operation of the Service.
• Sell prohibited goods (weapons, drugs, counterfeit items, etc.).

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

6. Business accounts and subscriptions

Paid Business plans are billed monthly via Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You can cancel any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

7. Transactions between users

loCal is a discovery platform. Transactions for goods or services arranged through loCal are between the buyer and the seller. We are not a party to those transactions and aren't responsible for their quality, safety, legality, or fulfillment.

8. Intellectual property

The loCal name, logo, and Service (excluding user content) are owned by loCal and protected by IP laws. Don't copy, modify, or create derivative works without permission.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, accuracy of user content, or that the Service will meet your needs.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, loCal isn't liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or for legal or security reasons.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. We'll post material changes in-app or by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the new Terms.
